We’re growing fast, and we have some very exciting plans. So we need a Financial Controller to help us make them happen.


Our finance team is evolving and we’re looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join the team. You will work with the CFO and support the business groups at Chip to commercially manage their P&L responsibilities as well as helping the business make strategic financial decisions. Understanding business performance and making decisions on growth and cost efficiency, you will partner at many different levels at Chip.

You will be involved in drive initiatives including driving the cost effectiveness, business’ forecasts and annual planning cycle, and providing our senior leadership team, Board, and employees with insights about our performance.

How you’ll contribute/What you are responsible for:

  • Bring insight to monthly regular reporting to Executive team and Board
    • Insightful analysis of drawing out key
    • Cashflow, P&L, Balance sheet
    • Cashflow forecasting
  • Day to running of normal daily, weekly and month accounting functions for UK and Latvian
  • Working with the rest of the business on cost efficiency
  • Involvement in core business processes, projects, and analysis
  • Oversight of daily safeguarding reconciliations
    Yearly company accounting filing, including management of audit process
  • Involved in tax planning and structuring
  • Represent the finance function in CFO absence.
  • Company secretary, Share register ownership

      You should apply if you:

      • Have ability to articulate accounting information to management and staff in business
        centric way balancing knowledge of tactical details with a broader strategic vision
      • Exceptionally detail-oriented
      • Experience working in a SME, ideally start-up environment.
      • Financial Services / regulated experience.
      • Ideally with understanding of safeguarding / Client money reconciliations.
      • Qualified accountant.
      • Data centric mindset.
      • Team player willingly tackle whatever needs doing
